About the event
As part of the fun there will be two short presentations at the event.
- An Urban Conservation presentation on water quality practices available to the home owner such as, rain gardens, native turf, soil quality restoration, rain barrels and more. Information about cost share through Hardin County SWCD available.
- The second presentation will be from Kevin Cole, USDA-ARS from the National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment about drones and how they are used in research and determining nutient loads in rivers and streams. A drone will be launched from the patio at Timbukbru to watch the drone fly over the Iowa River.
