About the event

We are welcoming the public to take part in an upcoming field day focused on in-field and edge-of-field nutrient management practices.

Keegan Kult, Executive Director of Agriculture Drainage Management Coalition and Jacob Handsaker, Hands On Excavating, will present on "Batch and Build" projects, including new funding for bioreactors, saturated buffers, and oxbow restorations in the South Fork of the Iowa River watershed.

The event will take place at the Royle and Jo Duncan Field  south of Alden- From Hwy 20,  take on S27 north, go one mile west on D25 to EE Ave, turn south 1/4 mile on EE. The field will be on the west side of road before bridge.

A complimentary lunch will be provided. RSVPs appreciated for planning purposes. This event is sponsored by the Iowa Corn Growers Association, Hardin County Farm Bureau, and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship Water Quality Initiative.

Due to the nature of the event, it will be highly weather dependant. Check our website or Facebook page the week of the event for any updates.
