2009 SFWA Canoe and kayak paddle and float event

Southfork Watershed Alliance sponsored a canoe and kayak float in 2009. The event started with river safety instructions by Wes Weise from Hardin County Conservation. Paddlers then launched into the Iowa River and floated to the Steamboat Rock campground.  Canoe use donated by Hardin and Franklin County Conservation Departments.

2011 Float

In 2011, the SFWA sponsored their second float. This time they unloaded kayaks and canoes and floated from Dave and Annette Sweeney's pasture. The photos below show the beginning and the end of the float.
